Creative, contemporary cuisine and an impressive wine list are bringing discerning foodies to Elgin Street’s latest new restaurant. Soho, Central, Hong Kong welcomes 12000 Francs – an exciting new eatery and wine bar from the owners of popular Madam Sate restaurant.

From the award-winning Woolly Pig Concepts team, and a sister to their already popular Madam Sate restaurant, 12000 Francs centres on the theme of food preservation. A menu that boasts a fine selection of European dishes with a thoroughly contemporary twist is underpinned by modern and traditional preservation techniques including pickling, potting, salting and smoking.

Innovative takes on dishes such as Duck Rillette, Short Rib Beef Pastrami, Bonito Tartare and Roast Suckling Pig are already winning acclaim from Hong Kong’s budding gastronomes, whilst the emphasis on the use of seasonal ingredients means that diners can expect to be delighted by different menu additions throughout the year.
Using quality ingredients, every element of the menu is created from scratch, including accompaniments such as the restaurant’s in-house baked sourdough bread; reportedly one of the best breads to be found in Hong Kong today. And, as you’d expect of a restaurant of this calibre, the service and hospitality are of the same high standard, whether you’re visiting 12000 Francs for lunch, dinner or to sample some of its delicious snacks.

Many wines can be enjoyed by the glass as well as the bottle, and 12000 Francs’ communal “Sommelier’s Table” – which remains open past midnight – is perfect for social gatherings and post-work meet ups. 12000 francs will be serving weekend brunch with free-flow wine and champagne options from Saturday 18th March. Two sittings with prices starting at $290 per adult.

12,000francs will be open through out the weekend.   Enjoy a special celebration 5 course sharing menu or if you prefer choose our a la carte options.
For New Year’s day Sunday 1st January 12,000francs will be open all day from noon.
